Running Group

Arrive early and be ready to run by 6:45 am at the George Mason Memorial. Embark on a scenic 5k route that winds its way around the iconic Tidal Basin, passing by landmarks such as the Washington Memorial, WWII Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial. Conclude the run with a picturesque return along the tranquil shores of the Tidal Basin, completing the loop back to our starting point.

Recommended methods to get to George Mason Memorial: ride-share apps, Capital Bike Share, or potentially meet someone to carpool with at the conference on Friday night.

Biking Group

Meet ready to ride at 6:45am at Gravelly Point. From Gravelly Point take the Mount Vernon Trail to the 14th Street Bridge Spur and head over the bridge to West Basin Drive. Follow that around to Ohio Drive, complete the Hains Point Loop and return the way we came back to Gravelly Point. Approximate distance is 9 miles out and back. Advanced riders could do multiple loops around Hains Point.
