A: The DC Midsingles Conference is supported by midsingle adults of the Washington, D.C., metro area and sponsored by the Potomac Midsingles Wards in the Mount Vernon, Virginia, stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Q: Who can attend this conference?
A: Any interested midsingle adults from anywhere in the world are invited to attend. You do not have to be a member of the Potomac Wards to participate.

Q:  Is there an age range for this mid-singles conference?

A: While we enjoy our deep friendship with singles of all ages, the age range for this conference is 30-46. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions.

Q: Can I transfer my ticket or get a refund if I register and then can't make it?

A: Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another person, but please be aware there is no refund policy available. If you find yourself in the position of not being able to attend, feel free to reach out to other potential attendees on the DC Midsingles Conference Facebook group.

Q: What will the cost include?

A:  The registration cost includes speakers; five meals (Friday appetizers, Saturday breakfast lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch); and the Cherry Blossom Boat Cruise. All optional activities and small dinner groups at local restaurants are not included and will need to be covered by the individual.

Q: What if I don't want to go on the boat cruise?

Your registration automatically includes a spot on the boat. You're free explore on your own instead, but unfortunately we can't adjust the registration cost.

Q: What is the dress code for the conference?

A:  Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon are casual dress. The dress code on the Cherry Blossom Boat Cruise will be "smart casual." (In other words, dress like you're going on a nice date. If you plan to dance, we recommend comfortable shoes.) Sunday dress is, of course, Sunday best.

Q: Will accommodation and transportation be included?

A: Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and sleeping accommodations. We recommend looking into Airbnb and search engines such as Priceline, which can bundle accommodation and travel costs. You may also use the DC Midsingles Conference Facebook group to connect with other attendees seeking roommates and room shares.

Q: Is parking available at the conference locations?

A: Free parking is available at the Mount Vernon chapel (Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday). We recommend using Uber or carpooling and parking at one of the public garages near the docking area for the Saturday evening boat cruise (the closest garages are No. 1, 4, 12, and 17 on the map).
